I've added my female splendin to my community tank. She and the others are doing just fine. My question is can I feed her the same food that the rest get or do I need to still give her the pellets she is used to?

Thanks.

Thanks. That's the road I was headed on.

Thanks.

I only have one betta. There are black neons and guppies in the tank with her. She is the largest in the tank by far so she is ruling the roost, for now. I have feed peas before and they didn't go for them. Now, my goldfish love them. I may try some lettuce or zuccini.

really my females love them one will pick it up and all the others will chase her trying to get it of her lol

I may give them a shot again. I haven't given any to the betta yet so she just might like them. I know the others didn't care for peas at all. They would pick it up and spit it back out. I usually had to scoop them out after a while.

That's interesting because my guppies and BNT don't care for them but my goldfish love them. Of course, goldfish love everything! If I remember correctly, my honey gouramis didn't like peas either. Finicky fish!!!!!!!

I have 2 fancy fantails in a 20 gal tank. Too small, I know, but it's well over-filtered (2-aqueon 20's). They are pretty small right now-2+ inchs each, and will find themselves in a bigger home when I can find the time and room. They are actually less messy than I thought they would be. Their water stays very clean and the filters cope without a problem. Even if I don't change the water for 2 weeks the tank stays pretty clean. I also make sure not to over-feed them and like I said, they like peas alot.

ok thats good just though i would check because quite a few people keep 2+ common goldfish in like a 5l tank

Kind of like keeping bettas in a non-filtered bowl?!? The problem with goldfish keeping is that most people only see them at a fair in a little dish and think that's the way to keep them. This is the original tank I got for them knowing they would need more room in the future. I would like to add atleast 1 black moor to the mix so I'll probably get a 55 gal that I've had my eye on. I think that should be big enough. You think? I was also looking at an AC 70 filter to add to one of the Aqueon 20 for filtering. Enough filtering?
