Hey, My Bette Seems to be at the top of my tank not moving, on its side, as if it is too lazy to move.

What Happended
- Betta is in the 90l tank with 10neons,5runny noses, 2 pandas, 2 platys and a few assain snails.
- The neons got some problems so i moved them to a hosplital tank.
- Since the betta was my fav fish, i moved him to a seperate tank, Approx 20l, heater and a make shift filter and an air pump.
- At the start the betta seemed to explore the tank, now it just seems to be at the top of the tnak on its side

Could it just be bloated and i need to feed it some peas?

Thanks Tortea

pH = 7.6 or slightly higher
Nitrate = 0
Ammonia = 0

Oh, and there is one catch, i leave on Sunday.

I really think it's not just bloated, it could be in shock or the water stats could be way out

Are you sure it's still alive, and could you post pictures and water stats?
When did you move the betta and how? Has the temperature and pH changed?

It is Still alive, i tap the side of the tank and it moves again, I moved the betta by catching it in a net and putting it in a plastic bag i asked for from the fish shop and into a another dark bag, a 5min trip into the other tank. Temp might of changed, so might of the pH.

Glad it's still alive :)

Can you test the water?
Feed a tiny bit and see if the betta will eat.

I think it's probably the shock of completely new water stats - was the new tank cycled, or did you use water from the other tank?
You should move it back to the old tank and see if it recovers. If it does:

Seed the new tank with 50% water from the other tank and 50% new water then leave the filter running for 24H. This makes sure that the water stats are the same (or at least similar) and the necessary bacteria are in the water for the filter. Once the fish is acting normally and eating you can move it to its new tank
