Hi, so my betta that's probably around 3-4 years is having trouble getting his food. He's lunging for it but misses most of the time and just swims past it. I tried turning off the filter and pushing the food around but after a while, it just sinks to the bottom and I have to gravel vacuum it out. I'm pretty sure this is old age since he does show some signs of aging like his scales are duller and stick out a bit more. He's also not as active as before. The water parameters are fine and this has been happening recently.

Does anyone have any ideas to try to get him to eat it more easily? He's not eating the full amount I used to feed him and only managed to get 2 small pellets yesterday. Thanks. :)

His eye sight is probably going due to old age.

Try him on frozen (but defrosted) foods and use a pr of tweezers to hold the food near his mouth.
