This is regarding my mams fish, not mine. He is very happy where he is, he is colouring up and eating, all the usual healthy things.. But what can we give him/do with him to keep him entertained? He has a plant in his tank, may add a few more soon. Some shells and stones ontop of the gravel and we use a mirror to the glass every few days for a bit of exercise. He loves chasing a finger around the surface of the water, so we were thinking maybe usuaing a pingpong ball to bob around? Ive also heared marbles are fun for them. Any other suggestions?

Heres a pic of him =)

I use bright objects outside the tank. A Pikachu keychain keeps mine inquisitive. I also have a dark bottle with an orange-colored cap (solution to clear cloudy water) and he always investigates the cap every now and then.

Ive also heard they enjoy ping pong balls, it probably depends on the betta though some might not like it.
I might give them each a ping pong ball and see what they make of it.

Hahaha, how spoilt are these bettas! PING PONG BALLS! What next! :hyper:

Ping-pong ball? Divided tank? Do I hear volleyball tournament? :)

Mums took one look at the ping pong ball and a look of disgust washed over his face lol. Stuck up git xD
So back to square one again! Anyone else got any ideas?

Cheers
Maddie =)

betta volleyball. you set it up im sure it will sell......id watch it :drool:

i have a few betta tanks and i rotate the mybettas every week into a new one. you could get him a cave or change his enviroment up by moving things around.

Thanks for the replies all.

Going to suggest getting a couple more plants and some hidy-holes =)

Shame the ping pong balll didnt work, i had such great mental images lol

A couple of mine didn't care about the white ping pong balls, but they liked the yellow and pink ones, My first boy had a seashell in his bowl and he loved sleeping under it, it was rested against the side of the bowl

mine have marbles, they pretty much ignore them. bah!

it's not advisable to have real seashells in freshwater tanks, they mess with the pH.

well he lived in that bowl and a 10 gallon tank with his little shell in there for about 5 years, so i don't think he really minded that much :D
