I have a lovely Siamese Fighter, called Charlie, he is in my 10 gallon tank, on his own. I moved him from a little 5 gallon tank to a nice biggish 10 gallon tank, a few days ago, he's doing really well.
I was thinking about getting some neon tetras, to put in there with him. Is this a good idea, or would he try and kill them, he has always been on his own, since i bought him. 4 months ago, so i dont know how he would get along with other fish, he seemed okay in the fish shop where we bought him. He was with other fish, at the shop.
What do you guys think, should i go for it, or not. if so how many neon tetras could i have in my 10 gallon tank, what other fish would get on with Siamese fighters.

Actually, I was wondering the same thing a couple of days ago with my betta Fred. I put him in our 20 gallon tank with four zebra danions. He is doing fine. He kind of seems at peace having those guys in there.

Watch out the aggression of the fish is very variable from one betta to another, be cautious and keep an eye on it, Luvmyfish had a fairly passive betta but yours may be more aggressive, take care and watch it for the first while after its in there.
