My red ct (I think) is very fussy about his food...the only one who is! I gave him ordinary tropical flake this morning and he turned his nose up. We went to a garden centre this afternoon and of course I frantically looked in every tank just in case. Then I check out the food just in case there are betta pellets. But they had tetra betta which is a flake. Anyway I bought it and I have just fed fussy knickers and he poked it with his nose and then scoffed it. He is now desperately trying to attract my attention for some more!

Yeah, i bought a pack of that stuff, but mine wont touch it!
he sniffs it, then swims off...

"fussy knickers" that made me laugh!

Kamiko loves that stuff. Swizzles never liked it, though he'd pick the little pieces of shrimp out of it!

The tetra betta is what I have and my betta does not like it either. When I bought him they were out of stock of any other food so I got this. He doesnt eat it at all but hopefully soon he will.

I've never had a betta that ate flake foods. They've all taken one brand of pellets only (ie, one betta likes this brand, one liked that brand, and never the twain shall meet).

I've pretty much given up and am now feeding frozen foods. Brine shrimp, bloodworm, daphnia, mysis shrimp, and soon to be krill. It's for the kuhli loaches, but I put some aside for the two bettas and the ADF.

My betta used to spit out his omega one betta buffet flakes, but now he can't get enough of them. Just be patient and he'll take em. Also, my betta loves MiniKrill Freeze dried plankton, I just soften them a bit.
