ive been reading up on methods of breeding, and a couple of sites recommend placing the lady in a see-through container like a jar or sawn off bottle bottom (obviously clean and floating on top so oxygen is fine), so that the bloke betta can see her and prepare.

how long can i pop her in there for? would she get distressed?
