I am in desperate need of some advice for my little betta who has a truly horrendous case of white fungus. It attacked his tail and has thoroughly eaten it away and is now attacking his body where it meets his tail. He also has pin dots of it and if you look down his body, he is covered with a fine coating of it. I cannot stop this, and I have had him on Kanaplex and fungus eliminator for about 4 weeks now. Previously he was on Maracyn and MaracynII with no results. He is in a heated 2.5 gallon tank with a filter. What should I be doing? Should I change his medicine? He is still eating and swimming, but that could change anyday now. Should I sterilize his tank and get a new filter? I do a 100% change of water every 5 days and have just started using novaqua and amquel, whereas before I was using stresscoat. (I recently read that novaqua and amquel were better for coat and ammonia.) I have eliminated the aquarium salt as well. What, what can I do? Thanks for your help!
