Hey guys! Just a little update on my betta! Got a five gallon tank with new gravel and some fresh water plants! I got some small ferns and am just hanging them upside down as "hanging plants" lol! I am doing what you guys said and am learning how to cycle and run the tank before I put him in, so right now he is still in his temporary 2.5 gal tank. But he has been doing much better now! He recovered from velvet with the salt and heat treatment and the fin rot went away temporarily. I am treating it again now unfortunately but hoping once my new tank gets cycled good enough it will go away!

Anyways, his fins are growing back great as you can see in the pictures, especially his dorsal fin.

On his pelvic fins there are little white spots at the ends of them! They have always been there which I thought look great. But now that his growth on his dorsal fin is regrowing, it looks like that same white silver color as on his pelvic fins. Is this normal? He has always had that underlying bluish silver tone to his scales as well. Also, his pectoral fins have grown a lot bigger than usual, is that normal as well with a growing betta? I'm not read up on betta sizes and growth. I also looked up a betta fin name chart for these so I can help be specific lol! Thanks! Attached are some pics :) In the last one you can see the white at the end of his pelvic fin.

That’s very cool that he is starting to regrow his fins. I’m glad you are giving him a better life. :)
