'betta' Care For My Betta!

[Novice betta owner!]

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say a big thanks for the help again, since the forum discussion I have invested in a heater and a live plant, and I am doing small water changes frequently with a full water change 2-3 times p.week.

Especially since the heater Santa (my betta) has more than perked up, he is still a fussy eater and seems to like blood worms the most and then freeze dried brine shrimp (hoping to get some live ones).

And I now know the 'blackness' surrounding his gills is his beard after seeing him flare up at me when I turned the light on and shocked him!
