Yup it's the same fish, I like to use the term Siamese fighting fish as there are multiple types of Betta fish

'Betta' refers to a Siamese fighting fish... most commonly 'Betta Splendens' which are sold in most LFS's as opposed to other more exotic bettas like betta akarensis.

No lol I just seen people call it beta fought I was a diff type
Well I do have one just in a diff tank an when I got it is was called a fighting fish
