Betta Activity Level?

I finally cycled my ten gallon tank. I thought it would never happen, but it did. I am so glad it finally happened. I did a fishless tank cycle... kind of. There happened to be three mystery snails in it for the last two days of it. I added my first fish. It is a beautiful betta. It was in one of those little tiny bows not even half a gallon in size. I put it in the tank after introducing water from the big tank into the little bowl. When I placed him in, he really perked up. I mean he REALLY perked up. He's swimming all around in every direction. I'll get a picture or maybe a movie soon. How active is a betta usually?

Wait a sec, here is a picture. I love how he has three colors. I think it is absolutely stunning.

He is a lovely betta! Probably very happy to be out of that cup. Are there any places for him to hide or plants for him to rest in? My bettas love their little caves (plant pots are a cheap option) and playing and resting on the plants. silk or real plants are best for bettas so they don't damage their fins.
