I'm going to try and get a picture to upload somewhere...

His tail looksplit. I haven't noticed it until now...

weLl its on my Flickr. But for some reason I can't copy the address...

Looks like he might be missing a scale or two or three... He's in a tank by myself... Normal?

A picture would really help!

Is there anything in your tank that could have split his tail or that he could have rubbed against?

A picture of the tank would help too.

His tail might have always been like that. Idk... But there isn't anything in the tank that should have ripped it or scraped scales off his head. There are two or three fake plants. A small piece of driftwood (its a tree knot. No sharp places on it.) and three tiny pots on the back corner because I was considering trying some shrimp. That and gives him something else to look at. Lol.

I guess I will just keep a close eye on him the next few days.... Hmmm...

The fake plants could have sharp edges that ripped his fins. I'd remove and add real plants to be safe.
The white dot is probably a missing scale, most likely caused by the same thing that ripped the fins.

I suggest a water change every few days to help the healing process of his fin :)
