Best Way To Put Down Fish

We have a similar species in the local river. We call them mudpuppys. Stange looking things, they get about a foot long. I remember catching one as a kid on a fishing line (never knowing such a thing existed at the time) and man, did it ever freak me out! :hyper:

IN A BOOK IT SAID FOR SMALL FISH RAZOR BLADE ITS BACK OR SUBMERGE IT IN BOILING WATER.

i WOULD GET SOMEONE ELES TO DO IT I AM A SCARDY CAT :-( :-(

I find it extremely hard to kill my fish even though it is for the better good of my tank. The two times it came up, I found it difficult. The first time I gave it ten minutes, and luckily the fish went. The second time, I had no choice. I ended up doing the flush since it was a Danio.

Flushing a fish is the equivalent of torture, not to mention the environmental consequences.

Seriously Clove oil or blunt force trama, that is to say, a brick or a rock, cutting is oaky, but not that much fun. Also, Boiling, freezing, and flushing are all bad ways to go.
