Best Way To Keep Filter Going?

I unexpectedly but really pleasantly have moved some of my fish on and wont be getting more till the weekend. Unable to go get household ammonia tonight is there anything around the house can help to feed the filter? Have bloodworm which could work, dont mind messy tank, just need to keep filter going till arrival of fish when it happens or can try and find some household ammonia tomorrow, which aisle does it usually hang in?

In the UK, you can find it in Homebase, the occassional Boots store, but not supermarkets for some reason.

Bloodworm will be fine, or some flakes, bit of prawn etc

thanks minxfishy! ah may have to wait for weekedn then as nowhere near either! Shall I drop a cube of bloodworm in and leave it like that or a little bit each day? thanks

Add a little each day, test the water is the best way to find out how much.
