I've recently added three little Julii catfish to my 110 litre tank. I've got some sinking pellets for them, but am concerned about how they will locate them....they spend all day under the plants and seem to show themselves mostly when the lights are switched off (which is then when I can't see what they're doing!).
I feed the other fish with flakes or a stick-on-the-glass tablet around (my) lunchtime, but if I drop in catfish pellets at that time, they just disappear into the gravel or start disintegrating. Is it customary therefore to feed these fish later in the day and/or when the tank lights are turned off? What else bar the pellets can I offer them, so that they will find it?
Have to be careful at the moment because I seem to be over-feeding....(got snails)....

If the three julii corys are the only corys, they will be somewhat shy.  Another two would be a very good idea, as corys should be in groups of five minimum.  This will alleviate their stress.

As to the feeding, almost any sinking food (disk, pellet, tablet) is fine.  The pellets if they are disappearing into the gravel as fast as you say might not be the best food, at this time anyway.  Nutrafin's tablets, or a shrimp base pellet like Omega One's, are good foods.  For the present, you can add a couple of these after the tank light is off.  Corys are semi-nocturnal, and they will naturally be out and about during darkness.  The upper fish tend to be inactive during darkness, so there will be no competition.  Once the corys are more settled, they will probably be out and about more.

Having places for them to hide is a very good thing, even though you may not see them as much; but knowing they can retreat into safety will further avoid stress to the fish.

Right, will do. Thanks for the food recommendations. My current pellets are API Bottom Feeder shrimp pellets, to be honest I whizzed along the fishfood shelf because I'd just that minute purchased the fish (along with six copper harlequins) and had em all bagged up ready to go home. My local fish shop does have plenty of corys at the moment, they were selling them in 3's, hence the reason I assumed 3 was ok. They've only been with me four days. Tonight, two of them have come out and tackled a couple of pellets, but my "subordinate" dwarf gourami has also joined them in bottom-feeding!

Another three julii would be best.  You have the space.  Upper fish will usually dig into substrate foods too.  As I said before, if this becomes an issue, feed after darkness.
