Best Way To Cure Cuts/wounds

Ok.
I had some fish about two years back with sores on there bellies tryed bacterial meds but they never cured it, they all died.
The tank then settled back down thank god.

Yes I think maybe I've got to a point where there's nothing more I can do. I just hope they heal but I think it's unlikely as there is no difference after 2 weeks. Thanks for the advice Wilder!

I tryed anti internal bacteria med, myxazin and finally fluranol by jbl.
Nothing worked,
Good luck.

Hi LolaLouie,

I noticed that you said "Symptoms have mostly been lethargy, stopped eating, died. (internal bacteria?) but this seems to be sorted now."

I experienced the same thing with my tiger barbs and it took out 8 of my 12. I never found out what it was, did you find out what was the cause or what was wrong with your fish?

Thanks, :)

Tiger Lotus

I'm almost certain it was an internal bacteria, the thing is UK meds seems to do nothing to cure it. I'm not sure where you're from but if not from the UK perhaps you have better meds to treat it. Mysterious deaths are generally considered to be internal bacteria.

A lot of my fish also went a darker colour which makes me more certain that it was an internal bacteria.

Good luck!

Oh and the cause I believe was an infected krib who I had recently bought, I quarentined him for 2 weeks but this was obviously not enough and as soon as i moved him into my main tank his symtoms started and then 1 by 1 11 more fish died!

Thanks for your response. I'm in the US but none of the things I used were able to get rid of it. Just recently one of my green tiger barbs went through the same patten as the others and this time I treated him with Jungle Labs Parasite Clear. He is now eating again and swimming around, but he is very thin so I'm not sure if its really gone.

But again thanks for the response. It's given me some more insight on the situation,

Tiger Lotus : )
