Best Thermometer

Hi All

Can anyone offer advice on the best (most accurate) thermometer i current have the stick on strip but i dont trust it as its not in the wet stuff.

Are digital ones more acurate than the old mercury style ones?

nothing is more accurate than a mercury thermometer

some digital thermometers are accurate, others are not, it depends on the brand

if you buy a digital one, use it AND a mercury one at the same time, compare the two readings to see how accurate it is, i would trust the mercury reading over the digital reading
