I could do with some recommendations for good gravel vacuums - I've bought three different types in the last six months and all are thoroughly useless. Even when they 'work', they have zero sucking power, and most of the time the motors don't run. I'm sick of spending £20 a pop for things that just don't work.

So, any good recommendations? Preferably stuff that's available in the UK please :)

TIA

Or, you could buy a small-ish internal filter, take out the bottom where you fit the media, fit some narrow tubing to the in/out nozzle and use that for water changes (plugging it in, of course!). You can use it for refilling, too.
