Best Food For Firemouths And Convicts

Im wanting to know whats the best food to feed the above 2 fish on when i get and cycle my new tank


i have saw floating cichlids pellets and also flake but im thinking that maybe live or frozen/fresh food would be better

all help would be great



also would


2x firemouths

2x convicts

and 2x jewel cichlids be ok in a 180 litre tank

or just the 2 firemouths and convicts

im not good with litres since im in US but i think thats too small. plus you wont want the convicts since they breed really easily and you wont find homes for fry. I would go with the firemouths, thats what im getting for my 35 gallon and maybe the jewels

180 Litres is the same as 47.5 Gallons. In a tank that small I would leave out the convicts. They'll woop fish 5x thier size.

As for food, you should feed them a good variety. Cichid flakes and pellets (not floating ones as they would have to be hand fed to know that the pelets are up there), bloodworms, sometimes sprinula algae foods. There is much more different foods available but these are just some good common ones. Feed a minimum of 2 different foods.
