Best Fish For A 10-gallon Tank?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking into getting a 10-gallon tank and am looking for advice as to which fish would work in that size of a tank.

I'm wanting to avoid Guppies and also schooling fish.

Any suggestions?

Isn't that a lot for a 10-gallon? I thought it would be five fish max.

My male betta is going to be really mad if he finds out I'm hiding a bunch of gals from him!!! lol

How about starting a colony of Heterandria formosa. They would breed and thrive in a 10 gallon tank but can live in much smaller quarters.
