Best External Filters?

looking for something for a 60 L Tank.. Just got a propper stand for itrather than having it on a solid side so can now have a external filter.... still use the hang on back tetratec filter and to be honest i dont think its doing the best job!......

What would you recomend want something fairly silent an not to big....... also needs to be a good price.. im skint!

Your best bet if money is tight, would be to look for a Fluval 204/205 or Eheim 2226 on eBay.

i got a eheim pro 2224 or something like that , it's not terribly big but the only thing you can hear is the spray bar, totally silent

My eheim 2222 is the same way, have to put my hand in front of the spraybar to know its operating its so silent.

Superfish Aqua-Pro 1 External Canister Filter

I just fitted one of these to my tank, it says its 100 - 200 litre but what will do a lot will do a little.
It is virtually silent also.

Don't know if you can get them outside the US, the Aqueon hob's filter well with no mechanical noise but there is running water sound. Sounds like a running stream. The fuller the tank the less the sound but it is always there. Hope you find what you are looking for.
