Best colored cichlid or any fish

not a good idea to mix africans and newworlds but check out nimbochromis venustus the males are gorgeose and seem similar to me in behaviour to neworlds

Sorry but thats a no go since they need a ph of 8 and i keep mine around 6.8. It is a beautiful fish though.

ah ha in that case i think the pearl cichlid stays a bit small to be happy with your fish.

ok looking it up they say the size varies alot!! from 3.5"-10" so as you can probable guess unless it reaches the top end of that he would be diner for ya oscar!!

Yea but it would also grow wouldnt it, everything ive read on them says they grow to 10". Therefore he should be fine, i mean my oscar is small right now, so if i get one soon i should be fine. WOuldnt you think?

i'm talking in terms of when your fish are fully grown, i got that info from the Baesch atlas and there pretty acurate.

I would feel safer going with a species that deffo gets bigger, IMO the surimensis looks better aswell

oh and most of the geo's prefer to be in small groups.

sevs are beutiful and from what mine are like have more personality than the geo's.

the geo's just kind of wiggle in sequence at the front of the tank.

try to find 1 bigger than your oscar though. they need more growing time.
