Bristlenose pleco.

Actually mag-floats work great or if you cant get those any magnetic one from a store that sells pet supplies (even a sells everything store should have one) they work great.

I just bought a nice scraper the other day at Petco. 5 bucks and it works like a charm! Just make sure you get the right one. There are ones for glass and ones for acrylic. I have a glass tank and it won't scratch it. If you have ever used a razor blade to get a sticker off a window you know what I mean. The way the handle is curved it puts the edge at the perfect position to scrape off the algae. Now I just have to figure a way to keep it off of my white gravel. I hate algae because it looks like dirt.

The green spot stuff is a pain because it's very hard and most fish (including bn plecs) cant eat it. I just use an old toothbrush and a lot of pressure!

Use a sponge with a scourer side for non stick pans - they cost pennies and do the job without scratching the glass!
