Berti The Albino Bristle Nose

I trimmed back some unruly cabomba today and got a lovely view of Berti's cave, I think he likes it as he popped out and gave me his nod of approval lol

This was the 7th attempt at a good pic as poor Berti kept getting photo bombed by the adolescent guppies and a very nosey ram!

Nice looking pleco, I have a normal BN male and a Albino female.

I breed these guys, they are fun. It's interesting to see them fight for food and territory. They just kinda whack each other with their faces and tails. I have some wicked bristles on my males. I'll see if I can get some pics later!

To be totally honest, (sounds awful) but I really didn't like him when we first got him! He was more my hubby's choice than mine, I preferred the darker coloured ones, but he's grown on me!

He is such a character, I like watching him trying to hide a pleco wafer under his cave away from the platys and the way he sits in his cave with just his head popping out.

They are cool little guys, I used to have a golden sucking loach and he used to battle with him, nothing serious but the loach would often get a tail whooping if he tried to get into Berti's cave lol
