Today's specialty is newborn frozen/thawed pinky :). I was relieved to see him eat it, he had only been fed live up to this point but he takes frozen just fine, apparently. I really do not like feeding live. I can if I have to, but I don't like it.
Constricting it, like it's not already dead  "I keeeeeeeeel you!!"

Next time please put a warning on your topic title or something. Fact of life or not I did not want to see that.

She did, the title is totally self-explanatory. What? Did you think Bekele, who was introduced as a snake in another thread, was going to sit down with a fork and a knife with a bib around his neck at the table and eat a pork chop with Synirr? I'm sorry, but I pretty much expected a pinkie going down the hatch in this thread, and that's pretty much what I got. Loved the graphic commentary too. Thinking about the words "Munch, munch, munch" will give me great new images, Synirr. :good:

Glad he's eating frozen. Feeding live is kind of yucky. Had to do that when I interned at the zoo in Miami. That was fun. Note heavy, heavy sarcasm. Feeding pinkies is not quite as bad as ripping the heads of crickets, though. That was my job when feeding the scorpions. Very gross.

With no knowledge of snakes i thought he'd bitten off your pinkie finger. :p Adorable snake!

LOL lljdma06! I thought, too, that having Bekele's name right next to mentioning Vakasa shedding might be a clue.... Shedding is almost guaranteed to be a reptile :p
Doesn't the pinky already being dead make it less graphic? :dunno: It was an epic battle, I tell ya, but in the end it was all over in a matter of minutes.

he looks tiny, what type is he and how big will he get ?

He's an African house snake, he'll be about 3'-4' full grown :). He's probably a week or two old at most right now.

He's lovely. The more pics I see the more I won't one. :good:

That was extremely rude and uncalled for the title is pretty much self explanatory. If you had posted that on one of my threads I would not of had the common sense to ignore it.

You watch people eating all the time and there are hundreds of fish feeding pictures on this site. What is wrong with seeing an animal feeding on its natural diet.

wow, thats fairly big how many others do you have and how much room do they need each. :)

I can't understand how people keep snakes...my pet cockatiel scares me when I have it on me I can't imagine a snake.... :shout: But they are lovely snakes...and love the kind of dark humour in this post... :good:

EW YUCK HOW CAN YOU POST THOSE HORRIBLE IMAGES ON HERE??!??!?!!?!?!?!!?!

Oh I'm KIDDING.
Couldn't resist HAHA :shout:

Gorgeous snake, I WANT ONE. I plan on getting me a carpet python when I leave home :p

'I keeel joo!' Too funny. :good: Lovely snake, glad to see he accepted frozen so easily! So many issues with feeding live.
I think it's a little silly to get upset over seeing a snake eat it's meal, though.
How we get our cheeseburgers is a thousand times more graphic than a little frozen mouse, at any rate. :shifty:

No, silly! They eat tofu bugers and lentils in the wild, didn't you know....

Very cute snakies, be even cuter if they stayed that mini ^_^

I didn't see the other thread and many ppl post topics with more then one type of animal in it. But please a warning next time. I am not trying to be a troll or anything but beign a rodent lover it was hurtful.

Lovely snake, looks like enjoying the pinky too!

I am glad you dont feed live food, I saw a video on youtube of a burmese python eatting a live rabbit, poor thing.
I am glad its illegal in the UK, I used to have a couple of Leopard Geckos and as a treat they wud get a pinky, but maybe once every few months, there main diet was crickets which would escape, lol!
