Alright, in case you haven't been following my Nano story in the nano section (link in my sig), I've been having a bit of fun.
I just thought I'd show you, this is the very beggining.
Just Sand, LR and one clam/oyster!
In this picture, it looks pretty darn empty, I dunno why. It looks fuller in person..

From the filter, this just shows you how light the sand is!

Looking good so far, that fine sand looks quite nice.

Make sure you get some hermits in there to eat that hair algae in a couple of weeks when the ammonia has spiked.

Yeah....I'm asking myself whether I should've bought LS to make this process go faster...
Someone is getting impatient... :look: :shifty:

please DONT be impatient, live sand doesnt help alot as long as you buy good quality rock, and if by looking at your rock you can see a fairly good portion of organisms, shrimps or other inverts still alive then its good enough quality.

Take your time, DONT stock too quickly unless you are monitoring the water once a day. Just remember, no fish or corals for AT LEAST 2 weeks, usually a month. Just wait for your ammonia to spike, then drop off to 0 and you will probably find more algae starts to grow. When this happens its time to add your clean-up crew.

Lookin' good so far,

But can i make a suggestion?

Take the rock on the right and put it flat, then take the rock in the middle and make a "bridge" type thing by putting it on top of the gap seperating the left and the right.

I hope you understand what i meant,
It's what i did with my tank, and it looks abit more interesting and fills out the tank more:

But its up to you,
