Im looking at buying a Fish tank Cabinet
http://www.aquatics-direct.co.uk/productDe...?productID=1873
for my 36inch / 12inch Tank,
But I dont want to buy this to find out I cant fit my Eheim 2236 inside of it!
As the reason for the purchase is currently I cant use my filter effectively at the moment,
anyone know of this cabinet and if it don't can I hack the insides to fir it in without messing with the units strength

Usually the stand/cabinet will have a open or semi open backing to allow wires and pipework to enter and exit the unit. Sometimes they will have an adjustable shelf which simply pulls out. Email the store and enquire about this give them them the measurements of the filter canister and ask them if that stand would accomodate it.

I have a 36" tank and the unit i have does have a ole in the back for wires ect. The only problem i would say is that i have a fluval 205 external filter and by the time you got the input, output tubes and plug through it, there aint no room for owt else. I struggle everytime i have to clean my filter out i have a right old game trying to feed the plug back through the hole. As the back of the unit is solid 1" wood, i cant make the whole bigger, or rather i would make a complete hash of it. I cope with it but its something to bear in mind. GRJ :good:

What you need is a hole saw....attach it to an electric/battery drill and make holes brother.

I was thinking I might just make it larger if I need to.
