I can't believe it!
Well, the other day when I went downtown to my lfs, I was suprised to see it was closed (don;t even know why...I know the owner pretty well and he never mentioned why). It's a long drive to get into the city, so I decided that just for the heck of it, I would look at the fish in Walmart. After hearing about everyone else's bad fish experiences there, I was expecting the worst.
However, when I got there, I was impressed to see that all the tanks were clean, and there wasn't even ONE dead fish in sight!
After taking a look through the tanks, I went over to look at the bettas. Aside from being in horribly small cups, they were in good condition. All seemed healthy and the cups were clean.
They were nearly all the same (dark blue), but one little guy caught my eye. I bought him on impulse, and he's one of the best fish I've ever bought.
He is a male veiltail, and has a red head, purplish-blue body and magnificent sky blue fins
Unfortunately, I can't post pics....I don't have a digital camera.
I've decided to name him Vaylee. He is getting along great in my 100 gallon community tank, and, much to my relief, he isn't very aggressive towards the other fish. If the mollies invade his space, he flares, but he hasn't taken a bite out of anything!
