Beat Up Tin Foil Barb

i have a 100 gallon tank with SA Cichlids. I also have 5 barbs, 2 black skirt and 3 tin foil. I just noticed that one of my tin foils is missing part of its tail and some of its scales on its back. it looks like it was attacked. none of my other fish have any problems and the water parameters are fine.

i've isolated him in the tank as i have a seperator and added melafix. he is swimming and acting normally. could this be anything else but being beat up? thanks much

Missing scales can be fighting, knocked them off on an ornament, parasites to bacterial.
Get a magifying glass and take a close look in the area of the missing scales to see if you can see anything.
