He's a nice wild betta, although I'd be tempted to say he is an imbellis and not a splenden

i really dont know.. i thought tri-coloured PK?
there was a falx in the tank next to him but the whole saler sold him to LFS as PK

He's not a tri-color, have a read of this link on imbellis. He is either an Imbellis or a nifty cross but he is a PK tail.

I've seen these PKs at the local petco under the name 'King Betta' they're really big, dwarfing the other bettas by at least an inch.

hmm id say hes only 1.5inch... not big like the giants iv had
