Are these as good as they claim to be? I hate having to use the syphon i have at the moment, I want something quick and easy that elimates the need for you have to actually suck through the tube to activate it, i have a plec and so a regular vac is deffinetly a neccessarity...

can anyone recommend anything? price is no worry and i have a 96L

I bought one a few weeks ago, so far it's great. You can also use it for water change by attaching a tube on the side, lot easier than sucking the syphon tube and no fishy water!lol

Hi, I have had a battery operated gravel vac for a while now and I find it to be very good. I use an ordinary syphon for water changes ( I never suck the tube! yuk). I also have a Pleco so I gravel vac in between water changes to keep the tank nice. I am going to do it today actually. :) P.S. You don't have to buy the little bags for it unless you want to, you can use cut up tights. Someone told me that tip on here.
