i have an orbiculate batfish and he just started showing signs of marine ich.I plan on moving him to a hospital tank.would copper safe or malachite green be safe to treat him with?i just noticed the spots on him today a few on the tail and fins and 3-5 on the 1 side of his body..i watched to make shure it wasnt air bubbles or sand dust.i have a hospital tank up and running at all times so moving him wont be a problem..just need to know if the meds will work/safe for him to be in.

I got some help from a friend who does all saltwater.the batfish is doing great and is eating. The coppersafe works for him.

I would post this thread in the marine section of the forum.
Good luck.

You are posting in the wrong section. This is for freshwater noobs. Platax orbicularis occasionaly ventures into brackish water. You might considerdoing a low salinity quarenteen. 1.0012 or so. Or you could use Melafix which is tea tree oil. It is good for ich and liesons. Try posting in the saltwater forum.
