Basic To Flourishing (Pic Heavy)

This is my 180ltr setup when I first started keeping fish:

And this is my tank now after seeking info and advice from the members here:

My tank has gone from being basic and put together with the smallest amount of knowledge possible, to the way it is now after having gained some fantastic info and advice from this site. My fish are happier and healthier than they`ve ever been and I`m chuffed to bits that the plants are now the correct ones for an aquarium and are flourishing too.
So, a big thanks to those of you who have helped me out.

Think you need some more blue , but yea 2nd attempt is far better, nice tank.
You leave the algae cleaner on? genius. might have to incorporate that.

Thanks Karin. If it hadn't been for the info I've received here my tank would probably still be basic and also full of the wrong plants ( thanks to a cr@p lfs).

Haowin......I'll have to make sure I keep the marine glo bulb on to bring out the blue

I saw the first pic and my eyes went straight to the shipwreck! Now I don't like ornaments like that (and I know many on here are like-minded) but I was going to post how I actually liked it and thought it looked ace with the lightin and everything - a good tank! haha But then I saw the second picture and well, it looks amazing - I hope my plants will flourish that well when I start my big tank! Excellent work

Thanks Ferg! I`ve literally just been reading your thread about your tanks and they`re all coming on really well.

That ship in that first pic of mine is now redundant as I`ve rescaped my tank a couple of times since I got it, it`s a nice ornament but is sat in the loft as a 'spare ornament' now

This is a pic of my tank a few weeks on and the planting is looking brilliant, ordered a new bigger 360ltr tank today so it looks like I`ll be moving everything around.....again!

Spot on!!

I wanted to fill in the emptiness of the back before I got the blue background on so I did have 3 of the silk plants. My Son now has 2 in his tank and I have just that one in there now.
One of my Apisto females seems to like the coverage so I decided to leave it there.
