i tend to find they prefer daphnia to bloodworm as it simply slips down easiar than a long worm

Consider live blackworms as well. With cichlids that are being conditioned for breeding I feed bloodworms no more than once weekly, with a day of fasting then a feeding of brine shrimp for roughage the following day.

where do you find live blackworms? ive got them in a frozen mix which they love but i cant find them live
brine shrimp tends to slip down well for most species, but the problem is the other fish (lemon tetras) tend to take them before the apistos realise!
