I have been keeping an eye on my Tiger barbs as of late, and out of the 7 I have, i'd venture to say that maybe 6 are female and one is a male. The reason being that the Male has the red dorsal fin and it goes from the tip to the base, the other 6 start with a red tip but it fades to black as it gets to the base, am I right in thinking they are females?
Another thing is that 3 of those i believe to be females are getting fat, and I dont know if they have eggs, or are just fat males. How can I definitely tell what they are? I have had these tiger barbs for about 3 months now.
All of my water readings are where they should be, and they are happily swimming etc....
