My wife has banned me from Craigslist.

I got three more aquariums in two days.

Okay, I was looking for one 20 gal aquarium to house my wife's fish while I redo her 22 gal.

Watching Craiglist, I saw a 29 gallon setup at a very good price. I called and was told she had sold it. As it hadn't been picked up yet, I said I would buy it if the other buyer backed out.

An hour later a new add pops up with a package deal, an aquarium setup (bad pic but obviously very dirty) and a refrigerator, (weird combo, huh?) at a very good price. Looking at the dimensions I realized that the aquarium is a 58 gal Oceanic. I immediately sent an email saying I would take it. Too late again, I was second in line, but said I would take it if the buyer backed out (which I couldn't imagine.)

Three hours later the first seller calls stating her buyer backed out and I agreed to buy the 29 gal aquarium. As I'm driving to pick it up, the second seller calls, his buyer was a no show. Oh geez, I don't need another aquarium but a 58 gal Oceanic at a great price (with a refrigerator). Okay, I'll take it and pick it up tomorrow.

Next morning as I'm driving to work, I see a 10 gal put out for the trash. I stop and look at it, no cracks and 75% full of nice gravel, it even has a lid but no light. What the heck, in the truck it goes.

So that night, I come home with the 10 gal and the 58 gal and the refrigerator.

Two days, three more aquariums and a refrigerator.

Yep, my wife has now officially banned me from Craig's list. (I gotta hurry. She's gone upstairs and I can sneak a peak.)

Greg

PS. The 10 gal is watertight.

Wow, another 29 gal at an even better price but I'm not buying it. Two more 58 gal Oceanics but they want a lot more money and they don't come with a refrigerator.

It sounds like it is time to let her calm down a bit. Even with my wife being as understanding as she is, I would not be trying for number 4 right now.

 Sounds like me. Had a 29. Then picked up a 125, 75, 55, 10, 120....think that's it. Oh yea. Only one has fish in it  But 2 are in a work in progress and 1 is my QT tank. Will sell the 125.

Good Luck w/the wife. I'm glad my hubby hasn't banned me from fish stuff or a website.

:D

I feel your pain, Greg. MTS (Multiple Tank Syndrome) is a common ailment around these forums, and most of us have suffered from it at some time or other. Some even suffer from it long-term.

Theres no cure, just let it run it's course. :good:

BTT

I have never suffered from mutiple tank syndrome but is probably because I have nowhere in my room to put another tank. With a wardrobe, tallboy, 24 or so gallon tank, betta tank, budgie cage, and bed I can't fit another (but I don't think my dad would let me get another tank even if I had room). My dad calls my room the zoo!!! lol

I have no space either but I've got MTS anyway... I'm up to seventeen, and a considerable number of those are crammed inside my wardrobe. Don't ask.

haha this sounds like something i would do lol...i always search around for tanks and find great deals, but my parents would skin me if i brought another home...when i got my 55 my mom crapped a brick at the size of it, then had to work the 10 in by saying it was for emergencies only, then bred in it, then made it planted lol...

Hope the wife calms down after a bit! maybe let her have one? lol

She's more concerned than mad, but if I get another one right now I will definitely be in trouble. :D

One of the tanks will let me do a major redo of her tank.

The 10 was a freebie so that's okay.

But the 58, it doesn't look that big at first glance but after looking at it a couple of minutes you realize it is big. That one is going in the basement.

Yes, I suffer from MTS.
