Don't add the salt to the tank.
Though abit of salt might not harm. I would only add half a table spoon to the tank.
Get a jug of tank water and stir the salt into the water till it disolves then add it to the tank.
Some of your fish don't tolerate salt to well so don't add anymore than that.
