Are Balloon Dalmatian Mollies and a normal Dalmatian Mollie the same fish...?

I have 1 Balloon Dalmatian Mollie and I'm after buying 2 more Dalmatian Mollies but the balloon version are harder to find.

thanks

Yes, i believe so. Mollies are Mollies. Balloon Mollies have been developed to have a deformed spine i think. They can breed with a normal Molly so don't see any reason why they can't be kept together. Most P@H stores have Balloon Mollies in stock if you're struggling to find them?!

Have you experienced any aggression with your mollies? Especially the balloon Molly? Mine became aggressive over time and I had to get rid of them, which is very sad because they were beautiful.

Mine were always fine and I ended up with 2 males and 1 female and they still never fell out!

My Molly just swims around On it's own..

It often swims through my group of neons but nothing bad.

My Pets at Home has Balloon mollys but no dalmation ones and wasn't sure if I had to get the same type.

No mate, they're all the same. Different colours can often make some interesting fry. Make sure you get 2 females at least to 1 male though.

Males have a modified anal fin called a gonopodium, a bit like a penis. The females dont. All other features are the same I think.
