Badid badis in a community tank

The majority of the research that I've done on the web suggests that this won't be a good idea with my current fish as badis will struggle to compete for food with my current fish, just wondered if anyone actually had experience with badis' and would agree or disagree? I feed frozen every other day but used to have two rams who were not keen to eat at the surface so had to move them to my sisters tank (with the barbs and tetras hoovering up 99% of the food there wasn't much left for the slow-eating rams).

mine do very well in my 15g, with danio.

But my fish are fed alot of froozen food, and i give sicking food once a week.
