Bad News :(

Woke up this morning to find my BGR at the bottom of the tank moving very little, her stomach was red, I'd had problems with her not eating or pooping but i thought she was better!
I assume then that it as internal parasites. Anyway i set up the hospital tank quickly but while i was waiting half an hour for the temperature to settle she passed away
Her name was phil as i originally thought i had a pair "phil and lil" so desptite the sadness it also means i can keep an eye out for a male for lil
Everyone else in the tank is fine I'm happy to report

Sorry to hear that.

Maybe it's the worry wart in me, but might it be prudent to do a full run of water tests, just in case?

Thank you, and I will, had a busy day today so tomorrow morning i'll do a full run of tests and a water change
My last water chang was only on saturday and i did a full run of tests then as i've been having problem so should be ok.
I'm just really worried it's something else and might affect my other fish! They all seem fine though... think 'm just worrying too much as always!

Yep, peas and there's quite often some veggies in the tank for my Otto's I also put Phil on the hospital tank and fed him peas a week or so ago because he wasn't eating.

we are talking about a Blue Ram right? What were your water parameters including temperature and GH?

It is advisable when having a fish die,is to test the water and do a w/c the same day

Good parameters for Rams, it could just be that you had a weak individual.

I guess so coz my other one seems fine, i think it was internal parasites... is there any other precautions i can take just to prevent other fish getting ill if it was internal parasites?
