Are comets ok to help the process of non-fishless cycling? Cuz he's a survivor I tells ya, and I need to get rid of my old tank in 48 hours and need a home for him.

He's lived through non-cycled tanks in the past, as well. Another thought, will he grow bigger fast?

It's impossible to tell if a certain fish will or won't survive. There are "hardy" breeds that can withstand the cycling process better than others, and comets are one of them tho.

I'm sure if you're getting rid of your old tank, cycling a new tank is a better option than anything else for the little chap!
