Hello it's me again, here to sap all of your knowledge
Is their a specific temperature (low) that filter bacteria could die from?
I know if pump is removed from water for a certain period of time that this is detrimental to the bacterial survival, but nt sure whether a temporary dip in temperature would have the same effect?
Reason I ask is I have just removed an extremely mature sponge from an external filter which wrapped around a new filter for my smaller tank fits perfectly. I have the thermometer going to warm up water (use RO not tap hence not pre warmed enough) and this thought has just occurred to me
I have half filled with RO and half filled with water from the old tank that I have just cleaned.
Thank you
