55 gal freshwater tank been up for at least 3 months.

 My fish are dying, slaming/scraping their sides agasts the gravle, and one of them clearly has an ulser with finrot (is getting a lot better). I have had 3 casualties in the past 12 hours: 2 cory catfish and one golden gourami (one of my fav).

I have no idea what to do now... i have done 2 water changes (25%) one monday one yesterday (friday), i have used algae destroyer and melafix everyday. but the cloud wont go away and i dont have a hospital tank to put them in!

HELP WHAT CAN I DO NOW!!!! :-(

Besides scratching, can you see any other physical symptoms on the fish? White spots, a gold dusting (check with a flashlight), inflamed gills, etc.

As for the bacterial bloom, don't worry about that right now. Even though it is very annoying and kinda ugly, it is harmless to the fish. I had one in my tank last week, and it is clearing up now. The one thing I did do was add an airstone because my fish were acting very listless and hanging around the surface, but I'm not sure if it was from the bacterial bloom, or more likely, the antibiotics they were being treated with. Spend your time figuring out what is wrong with the fish.

i would ask, did u cycle ur tank, but it's been up for three months. hmm... the only thing i could say is re cycle ur tank. same thing happened with me.
