how do you put on a back round on the outside do you tape it do you put oil on it or what, this is a question from my friend who just set up a tank 50 gallons

I have tryed every trick in the book,

special backing glue= great for 2 months then peeled off.
Oil= really good....week later air bubbles crept in
Tape= not one air bubble 1 yr in...however takes time to get it right

Just occured to me....would sticky back plastic work?

Not a fan personally, I used to Vaseline mine on but it's a pain to get the bubbles out, tape works.

Ive always used tape..

I use black electrical tape at the ends and a couple of bits along the top to take the weight.
