Planning on changing my tank around, looking for some background plants that don't need light or CO2. Currently I have some Egeria Densa and and a couple of other low-tech plants. Can anyone suggest a good background plant, maybe a Vallis of some sort? Also, are there any low tech carpeting plants other that java moss? Thanks.

Edit: 1.2 WPG

Vallis, Hyrgo polysperma, Cryptocoryne blansae or crispulata, Microsorum pteropus (all varieties), Rotala rotundifolia

As for carpet plants, Pogostemon helferi, Cryptocoryne parva, other mosses such as Fissidens fontanus.

Cryptocoryne spriralis is a great background crypt. Aponogeton crispus. If attached to wood Bolbitis.

which bolbitis would you use ?

Sorry, Bolbitis heudelotii. The other species seem harder from what I've read. It is also a darker green.
is that the 1 also known as congo fern im looking for a nice big rhizome plant for the back corner of my tank

I know it as African fern, but I have also heard the name Congo fern. I have it growing in my 36g. I just updated that journal. I also wrote an article in the index section on the plant that has more pictures. It does like good water circulation and current.
