This is my male betta who has made a remarkable recovery from the exertions of his last breeding. He was in a bad way and very tired, his fins were twisted knots and he hardly moved. Now after 6 months off he is back in the game. I moved him into a 50ltr tank a fortnight ago and he is nest building like crazy, there is life in the old dog yet!
I think his colouring is quite unusual, and his irradescance changes to a dark violet at night.

He's a beauty! What did you do with his sons and daughters?

Gave them to the LFS. But he's good to go again as soon as breeding tank is cycled. The question is which of the ladies to put in with him.
Maybe I post there pictures and you decide.
He is not a fancy betta by any means. But he is a great dad and has an interesting colour.
I am well proud of him ( he has no name).
