From the forum - not from keeping fish.
About 15 months ago I downsized from 350l to an Aqua Vogue 135. The transition was pretty painless as I simply moved my Fluval 406 over. I did have to take some fish back to the LFS including my 3 10 year old clown loach
(subsequently replaced with a delightful trio of sids
).
The rest is almost all corys and tetras. Some might say its overstocked but one advantage of the smaller tank its its easier to be diligent about cleaning and water changes. I started that way because I moved from planted to no plants and also couldn't bring myself to part with my 15yr old bristlenose. Thankfully its just become habit now.
Have been debating for ages whether to put in the filter that came with the tank (Ocellaris 850) in addition to the 406. Kept putting it off on the basis that nothing was broke but finally hooked it up today.
I also have a 7000l pond in the garden which is home to 4 golden orfe, 6 ghosts and 2 goldfish. Tempted to add a few shubunkins in spring but nothing in there is less than 10 years old - so its already a lot of fish.
