"Compatibility. We recommend you keep one Baby Whale or several but not a few. If you keep 2, 3, or 4 Baby Whales together in the same aquarium, the strongest one will often make the others miserable. In a group with 6 or more the stronger Baby Whales become less aggressive.

You need to watch your Baby Whales carefully each day to be sure the strongest one isn't making the weaker ones miserable.

Good tank mates for Baby Whales are Elephant Noses, African Black Knife Fish, and Synodontis Catfish.

Baby whales are also kept in aquariums with Clown Loaches, Gouramis, and Angels.

"Electric Food Finders. These nocturnal feeders use a weak electric current to locate food in the dark. This makes with black ghost knife fish poor tank mates with other so-called electric fishes such as the elephant noses, baby whales, and other mormyrids."

I wanna get one of thesee but I have a Black Ghost Knife Fish and I read these two conflicting posts. Which should I believe?

If I can't keep them in the same aquarium, in the next few months I will get a 75 Gallon aquarium can I safely keep the two in that aquarium?

They're mormyrids like BGK's, but I don't know about them feeding with electrical impulses, I don't think they do but I don't have any evidence to hand.

What i would say though, is they're quite shy and apparently difficult to get to eat initially. The other thing, is being momyrids, is that they can be tricky to medicate if they get sick.

are these fish or actual baby orcas etc...?

They're little fish from africa. They are not even closely related to real Whales, they're called Baby Whales because they are supposed to resemble a whale.

Here's a model showing the electrical impulse sections of a BGK as well -

But Can I keep 'em together in the same Tank?

well an interesting fish. seems people cant agree on max size or life span. seems also to be some confusion as to if all fish sold as Baby Whales are of the same speces. could explain the confusion about the electrical thing!
