Howdy.

In my main tank downstairs from the past couple of days we have found 8 baby rasboras (about 1cm in size IF THAT!). The Rasbora's which i still dont know their real name, adult size are about an inch or just over.

Im getting a 10 gallon tank today hopefully, once its all set up, cycled etc, would it be okay to put all 8 of the babies into that tank at once? We have them in a little breeding tank stuck to the inside of the 190L tank downstairs but they look kinda lost without being able to swim around freely, and i dont want my other fish eating them, even a tetra wouldnt have problems eating them and thats the smallish fish we have in the tank.

Also, can these be sold back to pet shops, would i get anything for them? P@H sell them for £2.50 each. If so when would it be best to sell them back - when they reach a certain size, age?

Thanks
Ian

PS. Which category on the forum do Rasbora's fall into?

The babies would be fine in the 10 gallon all at once as they're all very small, you can grab some filter media from the other tank to "instantly cycle" your new tank. Fully grown that would be a bit much for the ten gallon unless you aren't adding any other fish, but as a tank to let them grow out before they go to the fish store or into the bigger tank it's fine.
